JAC National User GroupDetails of the next Seminar are available; read about the successful 2003 Seminar event. The JAC Pharmacy Stock Control and Accounting System has been used in hospital pharmacy departments for over 20 years. It now has a user base covering over half the hospitals in the country. The JAC Electronic Prescribing System has been used in hospital pharmacy departments for a number of years and gradually the installed user base of this software is growing. The JAC National User Group (NUG) was formed in the 1980s in order to provide a forum for discussion and software development. It has been very successful in producing many Operating Requirements for JAC. These have led to significant changes in the way the JAC system works and the functionality that is available. The NUG consists of representatives from each of the Local User Groups (LUGs) and from JAC. The group meet regularly and discuss issues such as the future use of JAC within pharmacy, the possible requirements of the JAC system and more immediate problems such as system support, upgrades and new installations. The NUG also organises seminars on topics relevant to JAC system users. |
